Dani Vandiviere

Originally from Overland Park, Kansas Dani moved to Kentucky in 1993. Having a PhD in Health from CSU Sacramento she has a passion for keeping seniors and the disabled as comfortable as possible while staying an active member of their family. A founding partner of Universal Design Group in Lexington, KY she saw the struggles people were having everyday in homes that had become too restrictive. Constructing spaces for better maneuverability was important. Evaluating changing needs Universal Design Group takes into consideration how you, your family and guests use your home.
Dani was able to incorporate her background as a health and wellness consultant and owner of Solutions for Healthier Living with becoming a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS). CAPS is a certification developed through the National Association of Home Builders, the Senior Housing Council and AARP.
Dani is active in the community with her volunteer work as President of Sisterfishes Inc and sits on the Board of Directors for Sistas International and God’s Closet. She is active in CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship), a member of Kentucky Guardianship Association, Kentucky Association of Gerontology and a founding member of Kentucky Association of Senior Services. She also teaches classes on health and wellness and hold seminars and workshops.
Married to her husband Chris, they have one son Bryan and make their home in Mercer County.
