Bill Hughes
Accessible Home Health Care of the Bluegrass

Mr. Hughes has a BS in Business/Marketing. Prior to starting Accessible, he was a licensed life and health insurance agent and owner of One Source Insurance Agency for three years. He carried his knowledge of long term care with him when he started Accessible Home Health Care of the Bluegrass in 2006 with his wife Kaye
Since then he has gone on to be a two term president of the Bluegrass Continuity of Care Association (2008-2010), member of the planning committee for the annual “Meeting the Challenges of Aging” conference, member of the Kentucky Association of Gerontology, Better Business Bureau and Commerce Lexington.
Mr. Hughes has also been involved various voluntary health organizations such as Alzheimer’s Association, Multiple Sclerosis Association, ALS Association, and Arthritis Foundation. With Alzheimer’s and dementia becoming more frequently diagnosed, Mr. Hughes has gone to great length to educate himself on dementia care. He has received numerous class hours in Alzheimer’s training, trained as a trainer to instruct his staff on Alzheimer’s care, volunteered since June 2008 at the Alzheimer’s Association’s Best Friends Adult Day Facility and was the very first graduate of the inaugural class from the Alzheimer’s Association’s Teaching/Learning Institute’s 16 hour class “The Best Approach to Dementia Care”.
